Fixed/ Mobile phone convergence V/S new convergence

 Mobile phone convergence
The verb ‘convergence’ in techno terms has diverse meanings attached to it. Use of PC, laptops, notebooks and even cell phones (different products offering common service) makes it clear enough. But are we craving for this technology advancement? Yes, but unfortunately is not available. I am sure you must be confused by now but my intention is not to baffle you.
The telecom giants are seen busy in introducing new concept and the latest convergence is by Germany’s Deutsche Telekom. The big name has come out with its “T-One” product, allowing consumers to make cheap calls through a fixed line while sitting at home or by using your mobile on your way to office via using a single device.
Use of a single product like this to make life affordable is welcomed but the need of the hour is the access to various products offering common service. This will enable the consumer keep his finger on the product suiting his taste and fitting his pocket.
If this happens then it will do justice to the word ” convergence” lifting it from a verb to a noun.
