 Sony unveils 7 new HD Handycams and Cybershots

Sony India has moved ahead by recently launching an array of high definition (HD) Cyber-shot and Handycam cameras for the Indians. These models have been designed with the advanced technology, thereby producing seven power-packed products.

Sharing the features of the HD content, Masaru Tamagawa, Managing Director of Sony India, said: “HD offers you the vision to see the more - razor sharp reproductions with the deepest details, in short gives you the clarity like that of mirror.”

Updating its portfolio, Sony launched three new models in its Cyber-shot range viz. “DSC-W200″, “DSC-T100″, and “DSC-H9″, featuring HD component output. With an advanced feature of offering direct connection to an HDTV set, it helps in easy integration of the full 1,080 HD photo viewing into home theater.

Specks:

DSC-W200: 2.5-inch LCD screen plus a 12.1-megapixel resolution along with high sensitivity for shooting (without flash) even in dim light.

DSC-T100: It has a 3-inch LCD screen with 8.1-megapixel camera along with a Carl Zeiss 5x optical zoom lens.

DSC-H9: It sports a 3-inch, flip-up LCD screen, 8.1-megapixel Cyber-shot along with auto-focusing with Carl Zeiss 15x optical zoom lenses, retailed at Rs29,990.

Sony also uncovered four advanced HD camcorders, including the “HDR-CX7K” (Memory Stick format), the “HDR-HC5″ (DV tape format), the “HDR- UX5″ (DVD format), and “HDR-SR5″ (Hard Disk).

Each of these feature ClearVid CMOS sensor plus imaging processor that allows imprisonment of both videos and static images and 5.1 Dol by Digital surround sound features.

10X optical zoom and 20x digital zoom 2.7-inch Clear Photo LCD Plus display

HDMI output

Built-in 5.1 channel microphone

HDR-UX5:

3.5-inch display featuring x.v.Color technology

2-megapixel ClearVid CMOS sensor

Camcorder has 10x of optical zoom and 80x digital zoom for video recording

5.1 channel audio and 8cm DVD supporting DVD-R/DVD+R DL/DVD-RW/DVD+RW

Retailed at Rs 59,990

HDR-SR5:

AVCHD HD camcorder has a 40GB hard drive

Camcorder is equipped with a 2.7-inch Clear Photo LCD Plus, and a 2-megapixel sensor for full HD 1080 video.

HDR-HC5:

10x optical/80x digital zoom

Carl Zeiss Vario-Sonnar T Lens

Camcorder can also produce 4-megapixel still photos

2.3-megapixel photos in dual record mode

Retailed at Rs69,990.
