The iPhone will pursue the exclusive German with T-Mobile. 3d, iphone, t-mobile

Hamid Akhavan, CEO of T-Mobile in Germany, says convinced that the ‘exclusivity granted by Apple to your company will not change, even with the introduction of 3G version of iPhone.

Probably after the change of direction in policy sales team, even users German iPhone expected a new flexibility when the future version of the smartphone feather in Apple.
For its part, Akhavan said that.

We have an excellent relationship with Apple. At least Germany is the exclusive and we expect that things remain such. If and when there will be a 3G iPhone, we expect to continue to maintain exclusivity.

According to statements by then, one might say that (unless of sudden declarations of Apple), this option will be available, and the same could happen in countries where iPhone is already distributed.

Given the imminent commercialization of 3G version, it would have been a two-speed Europe, namely some with exclusive in place and others (like Italy) with greater flexibility.
Given that Apple seems willing to abandon the business model based sull’esclusiva, it will be interesting to see how Cupertino decide to continue the relationship already in place with current declarations, European or not.

Netflix Player: Apple TV competitor by $ 100?

Monday, May 26th, 2008 | Gizmo News with No Comments »

Netflix is the largest portal of the United States that offers rental and live streaming of movies, TV series and other multimedia content and, at least with regard to the American market, applies fully among the most aggressive competitor to the iTunes Music Store. In recent days, in particular, talks about the launch of Netflix Player Roku, a device that allows streaming directly on the TV at home without any PC and that, according to some, should frighten Apple TV.

Although, according to what is reported by C | News, the low quality of streaming, the absence of HD content in the catalog and a limited number of titles (at least for now) available to users could discourage the use of Netflix Player, we question whether the selling price of $ 99.99 player (against $ 229 repono TV) and how monthly subscription for the use of films to a starting price of $ 8.95 (unlike the pay-per-view chosen from all other portals, including iTunes Music Store) can not act as an incentive to sales.

Apple patents portability of personal data. Various, iPod, OS X ,iPhone

Apple, assiduous host of patents, has filed a new envelope containing an overview of a method for the transport of personal data.

This type of features designed to make transportable, so complete, its user folder of Mac OS X. In this way, users would no longer need to ask your system administrator to prepare a special account dedicated to them, within the systems that they use temporarily.

It would be sufficient to graft its pendrive to have suffered any documents and settings prefer, obviously with the possibility of protecting all with a password.
The patent also proposes a type of storage of information suited to not explained multimedia devices. E ‘highly likely that Apple refers to its iPod and iPhone which, for now, can be used only with a portion of personal data, contacts and calendars, but not carrying all of their information.

Remain two points that are not explored dall’elaborato of the patent. In the first case is not specified what level of access would you host on your computer, which could range from consultation to the use of single-resident programs for changing its documents. In the second case is not clear if the Mac user, with its own user folder in your pocket, should go exclusively to research a Mac to pick up and run to their data, in which case the portability lose in versatility.
