Rumors do turn into reality. This has been lately proved by Sony’s official launch of the ROLLY, a unique robotic toy. The multi-functional wireless electronic device can be played as per your requirements and desires. With built-in 1GB memory, the ROLLY functionality varies from an audio player to a Bluetooth device.

Now this powerful gadget can make you dance on its beats for maximum 5hrs as the battery life is limited to it when the music is played from its internal memory. But the life of battery is low (4h 30m) if the music is tormented to the ROLLY through a Bluetooth computer connection.

This egg-shaped digital music player would be available on sale from 29 September at $354 (40,000 yen; euro258), Weighing 300 gram (11 ounce), this white thingamajig offers many colorful functionalities.

While sitting on a palm, its sensors can distinguish between its swings. The churning of its players in the clockwise and anti-clockwise direction keeps a check over its volume. Its sound can be turned off by rolling to-and-fro on the floor. Must-say, it’s a geeky way to welcome your guests.

While weeks’ ago Panasonic honored the HDC-SD7 as the world’s smallest HD camcorder, today we have Sanyo blessing the Xacti DMX-HD1000 with the crown of the world’s smallest HD camcorder.

With ergonomic adjustable design, the other features of the Xacti DMX-HD1000 camcorder include 2.7 inch screen, 10x zoom, USB port and up to 8GB SDHC cards. The camcorder is expected to hit the Japan market by mid-September.

Ultimate i-Mate series raises eyebrows

Reports on the internet reveal that i-mate will axe two of its Ultimate series viz. 6150 and 8150. Having originated from Clove Technology, an online retailer based in the UK confirms: “Out of the five handhelds expected to hit the market, only two will remain”.

But if Asia Pacific i-mate is to be believed then all the five products of the handhelds will be launched soon. The launch will be marked by the unveiling of the 8150 and 6150. This surely generates a hope among people, who are eyeing the models of 5150, 7150 and 9150 but doubts will maintain the heat till the day we feel the models through our ears.
