Japan electronic giant, Sony exhibits its prototype model of 11-inch (above) wide SVGA (1,240 x 600-pixel) and 27-inch (below) full high-definition (1,920 X 1,080 pixel) organic light emitting diode (OLED) at the company’s exhibition in Tokyo.
OLED display enjoys an edge over conventional LCD display as it consumes less power and doesn’t need hind light to work, thus assuring longer usage if it is mechanized from a battery. This paper-thin next generation TV is expected to hit the Tokyo market by the end of 2007.
