EA expects to be able to pay for games out on Android

If Namco gadget has plunged head first on the Android Market offering its Pac-Man gadgets, EA Games has instead decided to wait at least until a billing system is established on ‘Android Market:

“EA will support the Android platform … but decided to await the launch of a billing content to make its main titles on the market.”

Currently, very open Android Market only supports free apps, but that could change from the actual exit of G1, at least if Google really wanted to have first-class apps to populate their shop from the start. Because the evil corporations like EA are not alone in wanting to monetize their titles is also the case for independent developers who intend well benefit from their toil.

On the other hand, EA has experience of digital distribution, and it is possible to load apps without the Android Market, then why would not they not directly from their site?
