Windows 7 under an Asus Eee

Friday, October 31st, 2008 | Gadgets with No Comments »

The capture (enlarged) from Reuters was last Tuesday, when the PDC 2008 is showing that the first beta of the new operating system of Windows, called Windows 7. In the photo can be seen as a grip Asus EEA, I would say that EEA 1000 using Windows 7 operating system.

All this in a normal ultraportable with 1GB of RAM and a 1.6GHz Intel Atom. There is something that calls me a lot of attention, the first is that Microsoft has a particular and reasonable appreciation for the ultraportable, who was going to tell them that they would continue selling licenses for Windows XP 7 years after its launch.

Monday, October 13th, 2008 | Gadgets with No Comments »

We should warn of the unreliability that had the no-new rumor of a Blu-ray drive for Xbox 360, more than anything because this is the fifth or sixth time that the rumor was relaunched and the fifth or sixth time that belies as is normal. Microsoft is still in its thirteen to make clear that there is no Xbox with Blu-ray, at least as an external drive.

Microsoft’s New Xbox Experience Website

Monday, September 29th, 2008 | Gaming, Technology with No Comments »

The New Xbox experience is now launched by Microsoft. The much-hyped revamp of the Xbox 360 Dashboard and online LIVE service, labeled the ‘New Xbox Experience’ is picking up pace with the launch of a new site showing the major changes. One of the biggest changes will be players getting to create their own avatars, which we covered here and you can see the video of the simple and cool-looking process after the jump.

There are also simulation videos on the new site demonstrating other changes like Parties, an improved social networking side so you can jabber with friends using a ‘deeper level of interaction’, and extra community content. This new website has many beneficial features.

I like this new website Can’t wait for the ability to install games to the hard drive (good bye loud DVD player, hello faster load times) and the ability to have a private chat with several people at once sounds, oh so fantastic. Avatars, and an ugly UI, make me less excited, but whatever. Microsoft is doing with the new features in this update, except for the interface. This latest Xbox experience is Microsoft’s excellent working website that itself modeled on the new navigation method coming in the update — that’s filled with videos that do just that.

Xbox 360 practically run price in EE. UU. ($ 199 = 137 €)

Thursday, September 4th, 2008 | Gadgets with No Comments »

The price of the Xbox 360 continues to fall sharply after the collapse of prices in Japan nobody expected to happen in other countries do likewise, we are tanned in lower prices in Asia while in Europe / americas maintains the same prices.

But now Microsoft in EE. extremely low price of the lowest version of its video game console, Xbox 360 Arcade. The price will be only $ 199 (137 €), more than reasonable for a console with which you can still take advantage and that includes a 512MB memory.

In other words, an Xbox 360 about $ 50 cheaper than a Nintendo Wii. The market is tough for the Christmas shopping ladies and gentlemen. The question will be the usual drastic drop in prices in our country when?

Wind MSI with 160GB hard drive

Thursday, September 4th, 2008 | Gadgets, Laptops with No Comments »

MSI may be launching a new cool version of its MSI Wind U100, the ultraportable that so far he is doing very famous. This ultraportable gadgets you can find in the stores carries a 80GB memory, but it seems that the novelty in this version will change with a new 160GB hard drive.

I think what is most curious that the change of hard disk can be caused “because” of Microsoft, which bind to raise a minimum of 160GB hard drive you want to bring the laptop Windows XP with its license gizmos. This change may cause some to be a wave of new ultraportatiles other brands or at least updates for valid license from Microsoft.

MSI gadgets has a model with a 120GB unit, will disappear? Despite him despite an ultraportable today sold better with Windows XP, but had to be a good thing, forcing them to have more memory.

Microsoft Blue Track

Microsoft Blue Track., Blue Track, microsoft, mouse, peripherals, mouse

Just a few hours after that Microsoft attempted to create noise with a new mouse saying goodbye to laser has been discovered in question since it was both good and mystery is not so much for… The hardware division of Microsoft will present this Blue Track in September, but thanks to Amazon Germany can now be read.

The difference in this technology that Microsoft uses for this mouse is a combination of a blue laser (nothing to do with the Blu-ray) and optical allowing use under any surface, where the laser and optical can not move as a non-flat surfaces.

While there is no price but being a small laptop mouse, I do not think that is very expensive, perhaps more than mice of a similar size, but by the system used to move.

Vista Box Needs Instructions to Open

Thursday, February 14th, 2008 | Announcement, Computer, Design, Gadget Reviews, Gadget Tech Specs, Gadgets, Gadgets news, Gizmo News, Laptops, Mobile, Technology with No Comments »

Oh Microsoft, when will you ever live down the Apple comparisons? It’s not all the mactards’ fault, you know—not when you are pulling stunts like this. Seriously, you have a “How To” page showing customers “how to” open the Vista software packaging—and it’s a 3-step process.

The Windows Vista box opens with a swing-out section that holds your DVD and manuals. The box has two security seals that need to be cut or removed before it can be opened. To open the box 1. On the top of the box, cut along the grooves on either side of the Microsoft Certificate of Authenticity label. 2. Peel the red tabbed label off the front of the box and discard. 3. Holding the box with the Windows logo facing you, grasp the red tab on the top of the box, and pull it to the right to open the box as shown here.

But how do we pull out the disc? There’s gotta be another instructions page. We’re sitting here with a half-finished Vista install opening and Microsoft wouldn’t let us down. [microsoft via wired]
