Far from the noises that ran in Japan, the launch of 3G iPhone has been a real success for Apple and Softbank with the thousands of Japanese queuing for several days in various parts of Japan. A first, I would say for this country on a phone! But, precisely, was it too big success?

So this launch has been perfect from beginning to end?

Well not entirely would be to say… While more than 1500 people were in the queue for hours in front of the shop Harajuku, very few of them we managed to get one , While the next day and the next day-on, others have managed to get the famous 3G iPhone in their hands. Is this the price to pay to get the first real Internet compatible phone in Japan? Well, even if it may seem “acceptable” 2 or 3 stores in Tokyo, Yokohama and Kawasaki, this is not the same with the big stores such as Softbank, BicCamera, Yodobashi Camera and Yamada Denki.

In fact, we found that just a few units, if any, have been shipped to stores Softbank or other outlets Sofbank. Besides, during those 3 days, all the staff of Softbank was unable to provide further answers:

Upcoming 3G iPhone SoftBank

The SoftBank Mobile has announced that they signed agreement with Apple mobile company to bring iPhone for Japan, coming soon in this year.

This is 3G mobile carrier in Japan. But now they don’t release any additional information about their agreement.
