According to reports Gear Live, Apple has sent to developers the first beta firmware 2.1 dedicated to iPhone and 3G i Phone. As we learn, this new version contains initially debut the new notification system, announced at WOODCUT, which allows developers to equip their applications a sophisticated instrument of notification of updates and changes when they are not active.

Secondly, this firmware 2.1 contains a new framework for the GPS location: the new form of Core Location would open the door to navigation turn-by-turn, can collect information about direction and speed (absent in the current form, which simply take up the position moments later).

The firmware 2.1 is expected in September (according to the promises of Steve Jobs availability of the notification system), but should be preceded by a minor update (2.0.1) dedicated to solving the problems of youth firmware 2.0.
